Behind the Evening

Lyric Coloratura Soprano
Born in the USA to Polish parents, Alexandra Nowakowski is a lyric coloratura soprano praised for her “impassioned singing” (Opera News). She made her Metropolitan Opera debut as Amina in La Sonnambula, and has sung with the Washington National Opera, LA Opera and Ópera de Oviedo, among others. She has also sung for esteemed figures, including Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
A passionate advocate for the arts, Alexandra believes opera thrives in intimate settings, forging deeper connections with audiences. This vision led to The Opera Kitchen, where fine dining and live opera merge into a unique experience.

Chef & Photographer
Raised between Brazil and Italy, Riccardo Riccio began working in kitchens at a young age, developing a deep appreciation for art and gastronomy. He trained in Michelin-star restaurants worldwide and was part of George Clooney's wedding dinner at Hotel Cipriani under Chef Davide Bisetto.
At 24, a tumor diagnosis shifted his path, leading him to photography despite blurry vision from Stargardt disease. Now, he fuses his culinary expertise and artistic eye, crafting experiences where gastronomy meets artistry.
